Korean BBQ House

A night out trying out new food- Korean BBQ.

We went to Desa Sri Hartamas where a couple of korean cuisines were seen there and Koreans were seen everywhere we go.There's even grocery shops for koreans with Korean wordings. We decided to go for Korean BBQ House and were well greeted by the staffs. There were 3 sections of seatings place. The tamama style, normal seatings and private rooms.

We ordered beef brisket (RM32), pork belly (RM35) and spicy beancurd soup (RM15).Being a first timer to Korean Cuisine I was pleasantly surprised that there are complimentary dishes served. A total of 10 small bowls size of dishes including my favorite potato salad, tofu, spicy ikan bilis with peanuts, a big chunk of kimchi, steamed cabbage with paste, spicy seng kuang or in chinese called "sa kok", fried pan cakes, 2 other types of steamed veges etc. In fact, these dishes can be filled up once finished. In other word, it's unlimited! hehe.

The BBQ-ed beef brisket and pork belly tasted great with the salty oil-like paste and wrapped with lettuce. The BBQ session was actually prepared by the staff there. All u have to do is eat while the staff barbeque the meats and distribute it evenly to us.

The spicy bean curd soup came piping hot, was rather large in portion and full with beancurd and "lala" in the soup. It wasn't that spicy for me and tasted abit mild actually.

Afterwards we received another 2 complimentary dishes which are corn with meats and steamed eggs. Wow.. there are certainly lots of complimentary dishes in korean cuisine. And the bill came we got a 10% discount promotion too. The food we ordered can be shared by 3 person and cost around RM80 before discount.
