Bread and Olives Cafe at Ampang look out point

On the eve of Merdeke this is where I went- Ampang look out point with the beautiful scenery of KL city view.

Found a place at the edge of the hill with a pretty good KL city view at Bread & Olives cafe(serves middle east's food). It was a romantic get away looking at the beaming street lights looks like millions of stars on top of the hill. At bread and olives', they only serve compulsary dinner at RM65nett comes with appetizer, main course, dessert and fruit juice.

For starters, we had creamy tomato soup! deliciously good~

For main dish, we had grilled lamb pizza and tender steak. The grilled lamb tasted great with it's tender chewable size on top of pizza and tender steak was juicy and tender.. yummy..
And one thing I would like to complain is the waiter who forgot to serve us our panacotta dessert!! yikz!! It was an itallian pudding which we had totally forgotten about until the next day when I woke up from my dream! XP

Merdeka eve with it's atmostphere- see the flag at the back of me? hehe

There are other cafes around like Gasoline and Haven! "Jungle bazaar" were seen on our way climbing up to cafes. It felt so much cooler at the hill and the food served at Bread and olives were great though it was pretty pricy!!

P/s: if you do plan to drop by there, do make sure the waiter serve you everything that u have ordered! =)

Sang Har Mee at Green View Restaurant (SS2, PJ)

I am not a big fan of prawns but I enjoy Sang Har Mee and maybe even more if it's not sooo pricey! I have only been to one restaurant so far for Sang Har Mee that is located at SS2 called Green View Restaurant. It used to be a quite famous place for that particular dish I heard.

The place was divided to air con and non air con area where the air con area are packed, so we went upstairs. A plate of Sang Har mee is ordered by the number of ppl having it. a 2 person's Sang har mee is already costing about RM50(roughly thr ) which i think is definitely over priced considering the quality of the food is not on par with the price we r paying. For one, the prawn is not very fresh. Though the sauce and noodles tasted not bad...

Now the only Sang har mee restaurant is cut from my list of "places to go"! =( Any Sang Har Mee places to suggest?

**Today pt came to mv passed me her very first own cooked cinnamon bun~ So proud of the her of her I let my colleagues try too...pretty gud for a first timer.. hehe keep it up gurl!

La Manila, Midvalley

Today jing and bebe came to midvalley find me for lunch. We strolled for awhilleee.. only decided to have La Manila for lunch.Too bad I only have an hour break( having internship now!) so we have to be efficient. We found a place and start looking at the Meal Value set with a meal plus soya cincau drink. The place was fully packed so I assumed it should be good hehe. I ordered special curry mee, jing ordered the asam laksa and bebe chosen ipoh hor fun.

Hehe
Asam laksa soup tasted pretty good. Not so spicy compared to the asam laksa at jusco.
Special Curry mee also not bad. I prefer curry soup with lots of santan hehe.
Ipoh Chicken Horfun didn't try that but look presentable. Nothing to shout about though.
So anyway after our lunch we went to the nearby arcade and played throwing basketball into hoop in that 5 mins left of my lunch hour. hehe totally feel de-stressed and feel kinda heavy to go back to work though.

So after work I came back and mum was busy so I cooked Ginger Fried Rice for dinner. hehe I put a handful of chopped ginger in the wok and do the magic. and tata!! It looks like below my after magic work.

There's still steam coming out from the rice while I take pic of this. I am pretty satisfied that my family finished the whole thing. hehe happy that I passed the ginger fried rice test! Hooray~

Eating at Ikea's Cafeteria

Recently I went to Ikea for the bargain sales which is ending in 16th of August.
taking the opportunity to shop for best buy, we stopped at the cafeteria for lunch. It was packed on a sunday!
The cafeteria style remind me of high school canteen system I used to watch in TV. Where customers took a tray and queue, grab food and pay. Everything is self service thus there's no service charge. I am pretty impressed to see a tray trolley ( where multiple of trays can be stack properly in it to carries food) as expected from a famous , innovative furniture manufacturer. Well to be honest, that's the only eating place I see tray trolley like that is around. he...

So anyway back to the food they serve there. Mostly are swedish style of cooking. And I suppose their meatballs are their specialty. Though choices are not many and their portion seems small, it's the quality that counts right?

Swedish Meatballs with french fries (can be replaced by a big potato cut into half if you are health conscious but I recommend the fries as it taste pretty good dipping in the strawberry jam)
The meatball is pretty compact and tasted great! Love the meatball sauce!
Cost RM5 per plate for 5 pcs of meatballs, RM10 per plate for 10pcs and RM14 per plate for 15pcs.

This is not on the menu not sure what it's called so I named it the breakfast set. It cost RM8.90 comes with 2 sausages (okay lah not bad), their mashed potato ( very compacted and the quality is there) and coleslow( standard taste lo).

Chicken leg herbs comes with lemon sauce. The taste of lemon sauce is so mild that I can hardly taste it. This is probably more suitable for someone who is on a healthy diet plan as it's very healthy in terms of the way it's cooked and everyhthing tasted MILD. Cost RM12.9 if I am not mistaken.

Lastly the Poached Salmon with cheese. Also tasted extremely mild. This dish did not intrigue my appetite at all. and it's the most expensive dish compared to other dishes. Cost RM14.9 if I remember correctly.

Location: IKEA (Nearby The Curve, IKANO) @ Mutiara Damansara
Parking Fees: Free if you bought something from IKEA.
Drinks: Bottomless at RM1.50 for soft drinks and bottomless coffee at RM3.00. =D
Atmosphere: Designer's look cafeteria with clean washroom. =D
Crowdedness: Very crowded at lunch hour.
Cleanliness: 4 out of 5
Likeness to comeback: Definitely! Solely for the Swedish Meatballs! =)

Self obsessed

Is it my clothes or me?

Couldn't help feeling fat and low when most of my blouses kind of ill-fitted on me

When I look into the mirror today, I felt like....

like.. like.. AUNTIE.

I am only 22. Oh gosh. And I look like something else.

Hmmm could it be that I am allowing myself to gain much more weight than I should?

Or perhaps I am just bored of wearing the same thing over and over again?

Or is there anything wrong with my dressing sense?

Or is it because I ate 2 person meals for lunch yesterday and just had my supper too?

Or is it because I am unattractive?

Or maybe I am simply not in the right frame of mind today?

Sigh.

P/s: Sorry to bore you ppl with my self obsess-ness. I need a channel to vent out my insecurity leh. =p

Here's a random picture of my poser doggie.
Strength: Melt your heart if u allow her enough time to demonstrate all her "tricks".
hmmmm she seems pretty comfortable and happy with her body.

Have you danced in the public before?

That's exactly what me and my friends did recently at the Laundry Bar at the Curve.

We ordered vodka with cranberry pretty good.. after few mouthful of alcohol we were all pretty relax and started chatting excitedly and one leads to another and there we go.. moving forward to the dance floor.. xin, the most capable dancer among us leads the way =p. Unfortunately the stage were pretty empty first time round. Probably it was still early (around 1am?)

So we went back to our seats (outdoor) disappointed... and few of us were actually first timer. After more snips of alcohol we were pretty bold and went up to the stage( xin the dancer, me and kaya) again when its more crowded on the stage.

Xin dance so naturally while kaya were not bad too... looks like she's doing some light boxing haha. Me on the other hand were stiff as a tree as expected =p after awhile we can tune into our inner self as if we were alone and just enjoy dancing. The music were blaring so loudly I could hardly hear wat xin or kaya uttered. It was an enjoyable and pretty exciting night and though vincent owe us a "1min dance on stage by himself" after he lost in the bottle game we played and I haven got a chance to see jing or bebe dance yet..

Not much of a worry becoz jing seems pretty high dat nite and she promised will dance as well the next trip. bebe I am sure a pretty good dancer too hehe. The question is when are we going back?

Oh man I hope I will not get addicted to this!

And what we saw were cute rabbits, puppies couldn't resist myself from not petting them =p

And the winner is.....

The intelligent, energetic, cutie pie JACK RUSSELL cost RM800!! =( Although they are all caged up in a small cage. I will just have to trust the owner to take good care of them after all they are his "rice-bowl"

Somehow the bigger version of dogs like golden retriever were not seen in the exhibition.

Korean BBQ House

A night out trying out new food- Korean BBQ.

We went to Desa Sri Hartamas where a couple of korean cuisines were seen there and Koreans were seen everywhere we go.There's even grocery shops for koreans with Korean wordings. We decided to go for Korean BBQ House and were well greeted by the staffs. There were 3 sections of seatings place. The tamama style, normal seatings and private rooms.

We ordered beef brisket (RM32), pork belly (RM35) and spicy beancurd soup (RM15).Being a first timer to Korean Cuisine I was pleasantly surprised that there are complimentary dishes served. A total of 10 small bowls size of dishes including my favorite potato salad, tofu, spicy ikan bilis with peanuts, a big chunk of kimchi, steamed cabbage with paste, spicy seng kuang or in chinese called "sa kok", fried pan cakes, 2 other types of steamed veges etc. In fact, these dishes can be filled up once finished. In other word, it's unlimited! hehe.

The BBQ-ed beef brisket and pork belly tasted great with the salty oil-like paste and wrapped with lettuce. The BBQ session was actually prepared by the staff there. All u have to do is eat while the staff barbeque the meats and distribute it evenly to us.

The spicy bean curd soup came piping hot, was rather large in portion and full with beancurd and "lala" in the soup. It wasn't that spicy for me and tasted abit mild actually.

Afterwards we received another 2 complimentary dishes which are corn with meats and steamed eggs. Wow.. there are certainly lots of complimentary dishes in korean cuisine. And the bill came we got a 10% discount promotion too. The food we ordered can be shared by 3 person and cost around RM80 before discount.

The red shirt guy was her darling and the guy at the left is ball.. very indulged in their conversation it seems.. And the Birthday gal smiling at the cam.

Py happily eating her Salmon Sushi.
