BBQ Chicken Outlet

Yesterday went to have a more luxurious lunch compared to the usual breads / nasi lemak from canteen during lunch break with pig zhi & piggy chi. We went to try the BBQ Chicken Outlet located at Wangsawalk. According to the menu.. BBQ chicken is Korean's No. 1 Chicken Restaurant and BBQ stands for Best of the Best Quality instead of the common term we all know as Barbecue.

The Fish & Chips with Mustard sauce (RM12++) Something different from the usual mayonnaise with lemon though..
BBQ jerk chicken non-spicy version (RM17++) This is the non-spicy version.. somehow the table next to us ordered the spicy version looks much more appetizing... The BBQ chicken tasted sweet instead of salty.. depends on your personal preference

Creamy Mushroom Soup (RM3+) I would say OKAY, tastes like the usual Cream mushroom can.. hehe

Mushroom Fried Rice with BBQ Chicken (RM9++) The Chicken tastes exactly the same as the BBQ jerk chicken- sweetness..  The Mushroom fried rice has a nice aroma though..

The other day I went to Jaya One had the same thing located at JAYA ONE too.. Looks like the BBQ Chicken outlet covered alot of places too.. Their website can be found here (Click HERE)

Honeymoon

Honeymoon cafe

Today QQ mentioned about Honeymoon cafe.. and I thought of the pictures taken last year at Honeymoon cafe! hehe.. They have nice cozy environment at Honeymoon it's a good place for yum cha to me and something different from the usual drinks u ordered..

This is the Marble Soy Bean Curd (Tau Foo Fa).. It's gray in colour and cost RM6 per bowl.

Water Chestnuts Soup Lemon Slice RM6 too. Something appetizing, sweet and sour and crunchy at the same time!

The Honeymoon I went to located at One-U, but there are other branch else where too. Overall it's a nice yum cha spot for get-together. They have MORE varieties than you can imagine for!

P/s: Been slightly busy to update my food menu lately.. and didn't take much pictures though. Almost half dead from all the assignments! This semester is indeed a busy one!

Salted Chicken with Herbs from Ipoh! (Day 8)

Restaurant Kheng Lim @ Gunung Rapat, Ipoh

Address: 309, Jalan Gunung Rapat, Taman Ipoh, 31350 Ipoh, Perak

Day 8 of my hibernation day is a special day because pitarogue brought me salted chicken with herbs from Ipoh, gunung rapat.. yum yum it fled all the way from Ipoh and how can I know taste it right away? I steamed it for 15mins before unwrapping the papers to savour the salted chicken.. tasted slightly salty only and the taste of herbs smells good! I think this is probably very healthy as it's steamed with herbs (although a little bit on salt too) hehe.. I took a picture of the address.. so maybe I could drop by there one day too... according to the source this is a famous salted chicken herbs in ipoh.. a must eat food!! Do remember to tapao for me if anyone of you drop by there.. hehe!

My Japanese food adventure day (Day 7)

Lately did not go out much at all but One U is where we went to have Tokyo-G japanese restaurant for the first time. The ambience is quite elegant and outstanding and looks slightly expensive too..  and I can confirm it's slight expensive on the sushi varieties.. although it did not have conveyor belt like sushi Zanmai but the sushi varieties.. are many and pretty unique and yes they all tasted amazingly yummy..

The dining tables can stretch as long as 10 people or more! Where the smaller dining tables are for 4 person.  As I just mentioned, there is NO conveyor belt! so I have a good look at the menu and found some G-best (their best seller there) at first wanted to order their bimbibap ( a G-best) but changed my mind later to their Bento sushi set for beginner.. it cost slight expensive around RM25++ comes with miso soup and cawan mushi...Tasted great... miso soup have lala in it and cawan mushi is smooth enough for me... too bad by the time finished my bento set I was full as hell... The waiter told me that some of the customers will normally take away the left over.. imagine how big portion it is!

Another bento set was on promotion cost around RM16++ with miso soup and cawan mushi... if you do order the selected sushi with this set you can get rebate RM1.90 on sushi....  The noodles tasted alright to me... like the tempura prawn big piece enough! and the fried salmon skin.. yum yum..

Cawan Mushi & Miso Soup

We had our cawan mushi and miso soup much later on... apparently the waiter forgotten to send them! =( Only notice it after the bill arrived. The restaurant is not closed even 10:30 where there are still people hanging out while we are leaving...

Overall I like this place very much and I think it is quite worth the price because I was left full and satisfied! I do hope to see the service could improve slightly though the next time I visit Tokyo-G!

My result on bone testing

Besides, One U were having an Anlene Road show for free testing on bone at the new wing.. my result!! kakaka.. I am not a milk drinker... therefore it prove that you don't have to drink milk to have strong bones.. can consume cheese, brocolli, green leaves and soya milk is good too for your bone! I did check with the consultant on the accuracy of the result it was about 80% accurate according to her. Take these as much as you can before you reach 30 where the body will not absorb the calcium as good as before.. Cheers~~

P/S: Am no longer -0.5KG.. I think I have gained them back... =(

My Tiramisu Day (Day 7)

Yesterday I took out some time to make a Tiramisu classic with lady finger for the first time as requested. Hehe and am happy it's cleaned up by today! =p The Tiramisu recipe I followed exactly on the package when I bought for the lady finger biscuit. It is meant for 8 person... It tastes like a vanilla ice cream bread according to bro... haha. pitarogue says it was slightly too sweet.. To me unless you love chesse else you wouldn't have enjoyed the texture and taste.

Lady fingers cookies- I took the recipe from it's package

Mascarpone Cheese (500gm)- just nice for my recipe

Finally done with one step away.. which is to sprinkle the cocoa powder on top before putting it in the fridge for 4 hours!

Recipe directly followed:-

My Tomato Pizza Bread recipe inventory (Day 6)

My yummy Tomato Pizza Bread

It was 1pm in the afternoon and my stomach was having a grumble moment. I tot of going down to make myself another cup honey drink but my heart says it wanna have a real meal.

Hehe so i opened the fridge, i saw the overnight bbq chicken wings last night (left 2 pieces),  cheese and suddenly i have an idea. I am going to make a pizza bread today!

I ate pizza bread somewhere else before and it tasted so appetizing I thought of making one myself. I prepare the ingredients before cooking. Tomato sauce, one biji real tomato, whole meal bread, overnight BBQ chicken and cheese.

I took 2 slice of bread and put in the oven for 10mins at the minimum degree celcius (100c) to heat of the bread to crispy stage.

Then I took them out and spread the bread with Tomato sause so the ingredients will not drop out halfway later on. After placing the tomato pieces and chicken slice on top of the tomato sauce spread to the max I add somemore tomato sauce (so it will stick) before covering them with one/two slice of cheese (if u have parmesan cheese it will taste better though the cheeder cheese is fine too hehe except it doesn't have the cheesy feel when u pull the cheese up if u get what i mean.. hehe)

Bake for another 10-15mins and it is ready for a go! Yum-yum~~~fast and easy!

P/S: I suppose I just had another healthy nutritional meal today. hehe... and I went to weigh myself on the weighing machine and still am -0.5KG luckily after yesterday's BBQ chicken..

My BBQ Chicken Wings dinner

This is my BBQ chicken dinner I made last night. Mum wasn't free so I just help her with it. (the experimenting flavors were my idea though hehe) I tried few flavors (garlic, ginger, onions & pepper flavour)  I just seasoned the chicken wings overnight in BBQ sauce and took it out to heat up in to the oven for 20mins at 220 degree celcius before I flip the chicken and bake for another 20mins. to make sure it is fully cooked, later i wrap them in aluminium foil and place my flavors + honey to enhance the taste for another 15-20mins. My bro like the black pepper chicken, I like the ginger taste most. hehe Maybe it's because I personally love ginger alot. hehe .

Ginger flavour honey BBQ chicken.  (after)

Season Chicken in BBQ sauce overnight in the fridge.

Took it out and warm up the oven for 15mins. Heat the chicken at 220 degree celcius in 20 mins and flip chicken for another 20mins before applying honey and heat again for 5-10mins. Chicken should be ready by then. If you want added flavours, try wrap the chicken wings in aluminium foil add in flavours (I strongly recommend ginger) wrap tightly with one small hole for ventilation purposes.

I tried to mix the flavour, ginger with onions & honey  (before)

Onion flavour with honey (before)

This is the strongly recommended ginger flavours before it was sent in for the second round. (before)

Spicy dried chilis and pepper flavour (no honey is added) did not taste spicy though (After)

Garlic with honey flavour. It has a unique taste I think garlic lover will like it too. hehe (Before)

I do not know how fattening all these bbq chicken session will be but it was quite healthy since there is no oil added, only natural flavours (garlic/ginger/onions/peppers/honey) other than the bbq sauce. It took me about an hour plus to finish baking all 10 pieces of chicken wings though.

It's confirmed! (day 5)

in the afternoon and I had the same thing as my breakfast today which is 2 slice of wheat bread with spicy tuna and pamper myself with the ever-so-sweet honey lemonade again.

I took a bold step on the weighing machine.. expecting the positives... and it is confirmed I lost 0.5KG!!! wahahahahaha~~ maybe it is too early to do my little ya-hoo dance now..

I am just worried it will "haunt" me back few days later when I was less aware on my eating habit... and then it all starts over again... it makes me even more determine to continue recording my daily menu now XP

I am not sure whether it was the honey diet which does the trick though but i did drink the honey every single day. Hehe

I don't like the feel of being sleepy and exhausted all time... Got to train myself to sleep earlier and it just makes me thrilling   for the OGAWA whole body massage chair right now....

P/s: Not sure whether your honey is an organic and raw one check this website to find out more (Click Here
I still think if it has a UMF (Unique manuka factor) is the safest... though it is very expensive.. about Rm100+ per bottle =(.. dats why I am only using Pure harvest.. not sure how pure as it claim it is... read a blog review on this product though (Click Here)

Okay.. what I found out is only Manuka honey has UMF number as it is the most research honey.. the rest we will just have to take a wild guess.

Hibernation Diet with honey (Day 4)

Phew! finally submitted my FYP(part 1) today after rushing it for 2 nights and that means the last two night I did not have any of the 8 hours beauty sleep(according to the hibernation's diet). hmmm.. today did not start well I couldn't wake up at 6:30am to start preparing to UNI. In the end I reached my class at almost 9am (class starts at 8:30) realized I did not bring my mobile phone plus I made an embarrassing entrance to the class. =p My breakfast was 3 triangular cut bread fried with egg.

After class about 1pm, me, min zhi and wai chi went to submit our FYP to lecturer. They left after that while I stayed up to wait for bro and went to the library. About 2pm+ I start to have a grumble stomach.. so I left the library and saw 2 future-to-be couple from our class on my way out. Did not dare to interrupt them looks like they are having some moment there.. haha my lunch for today was nasi lemak with vegetables, potatoes and sambal.. and eating alone is not healthy. Because I just gobble down my food without the usual chats what else can u do but focusing on the food? sobs

I haven taken my dinner but probably will be fried rice. I did not dare to weigh myself on the weighing skill until today. hehe and I LOST 0.5KG! Not much but there is some improvement there. Not sure whether it's because I just took a nap or not.. oh well.. will try weigh myself tomorrow again. =p

BY the way, the other day I was informed by a shocking news(according to the source, it was announce on the national channel few days ago) on Induction Cooker. The "supposedly" convenient technology for you to heat up food. Well it make sense that if microwave is just as bad to the health and have radiation wave, so does induction cooker. This is a rather detailed page on microwave and how it effects the people and can even kill. (click here) We ban our induction cooker at home too. Hope you guys be more mindful about the effect of radio wave-able product! Say "NO" to Microwave oven!

Hibernation Diet with honey (Day 2)

I slept 8 hours last night and still had to have mental struggle to wake up this morning! my second day of diet I had 1 tablespoon of milo without sugar as my breakfast drink (and that's all I have.. proud of it XP)

During the afternoon, I was kind of lazy to walk out buy any lunch (looking at the glaring sun). I cooked my own lunch today! I have always like mum's ginger fried rice and all I need are simple ingredients such as overnight cooked rice( I know I said overnight.. but that's what a good fried rice need-overnight rice!), sesame oil, old ginger, egg, abit of chicken stock and voila! From the moment I start cutting the ginger to smallest pieces i can ever cut,  heat the wok pour sesame oil, followed by ginger, rice and finally eggs, fry a couple of times and ta-da! I placed some tomatoes too for beauty and health reason! It all takes me less than 30mins.. and my hunger is satisfied. Plus ginger supposely has some healing effect (good for indigestion) according to the reader digest. Later I went to make a lemonade honey drink too. Am I being too healthy or what =p

Opps.. forgotten to update my dinner menu.. which is totally opposite of the hibernation diet's concept~!!!

I had one chicken mcdeluxe from Mcdonald, half piece of apple pie from Mcdonals, one piece of kuih from stalls... and luckily i am not fancy of soft drinks.. so I skipped that... hehehe I feel guilty and feel good too at the same time.. because the last time I tasted chicken mcdeluxe.. probably was like last year? =p

Anyway dad just update me some shocking news... I am too tired to talk about it now.. going to do abit more of my FYP before going to bed... to be continue tmr! =)

Hibernation Diet with honey (Day 1)

Me at the 1st Fabulous Food Exhibition(I know I am eating again! =p)... huge arms.. can dumb bell lose arms' fats?

SOBss..I am a fatty girl because I can't seem to stop enjoying the good food around me and I don't want to grow anymore fats! I heard a friend lose weight due to her FYP period. Why is that not happening to me? Is it  because I am not taking my FYP serious enough? I wish I could slim down and I wish I could fit back in some of my smaller size clothes!

I stumbled across a diet called the Hibernation Diet (Click Here) which all you have to do is drink 1-2 tablespoon of honey(only organic or raw) before you sleep.. and make sure an 8 hours long sleep plus healthy daily eating and exercise. The researcher who did a research found that it has many more benefits other than slimming down.. one of them is helping people with insomia to sleep better.

I am abit skeptical on this new found research though but will give a try on it starting from today. Luckily there is an organic honey (as claimed on bottle.. could not find their Ureka Manuka Factor though) at home. Will update my result if there is any. hehe! Wish me luck!

Charice, the Singer from Philipine

Walk pass the television and Oprah Winfrey's show caught my attention of a young talented singer from Philippine. The name is Charice and apparently at the age of 4 years old she sang one of Celine Dion's song playing on the radio while her mum was somewhere else within the house. Her mum discovered her daughter's talent when she saw it was her daughter who sang the song.

At the age of 16, Charice had attended more than 80 stage contest! Amazing! It was understood that Charice had some trauma from childhood which makes her what she is today. I can't believe such a fairy tale story happened to her and now her mum no longer had to struggle working 16 hours a day.

Watch this you tube.. it will blow u away!

Okies, enough of Charice and back to my FYP for now =P

Sushi Tei @ Tropicana City

It's the FYP period and although I am not done with my work. I have spent enough hours indulging in it. Therefore I reward myself some precious time to blog before further pamper myself to sleep (it's 6:30 in the morning!) =p

Some flash back on my recent affairs with food at Sushi Tei the only one branch in Malaysia at the moment. Nice environment (similar to Sushi Zanmai & they have conveyor belt there!)

There is the soft shell crabs with fish roe the piggy never missed to order and never seem to get tired of it. =p Anyway I preferred the soft shell crabs(RM6+) here because of the size of the fish roe is bigger and taste good and it's bouncy!

The Pan Fried Beef with Onions and Rice (RM15+) comes in a torn looking container. I wonder how this container can be so torn looking(paints peeling off) consider how recently the Sushi Tei outlet opens. I like the pan fried beef but not the onions.. it's cut in quite fat slice for onion.. dislike the size but like the taste of it.

This spicy herbs peppers I found on the shelf looks healthy(lots of greens) enough i sprinkle lots of it on my beef rice and it's not spicy at all! In fact, I find it slight salty.. hehe

Fried Salmon Skin (RM6+) in such a huge portion we were having a hard to finish it! It was supposely to be crunchy and chewy and tasted great! Just remember to ask the assistant to heat it up for you because it is best serve hot & crunchy =p

Unagi sushi wrapped with sesame & leaves(not sure what kinda leaves is it but looks appetizing) RM6+ I ate all 5 pieces of it because some pig doesn't like it. I suspect is the green leaves that turn him off. hehe

Overall, it looks like Sushi Zanmai.. works like Sushi Zanmai but have different varieties from Zanmai outlet. The place was already half packed when we were there. Pretty environment but like any other sushi fast food outlet, it was a bit stuffy from the fying part supposely. I tried some other sushi on the conveyor belt which were okay to me. The price seems to be the same as Sushi Zanmai but not much of it's sushi has the orange mayonnaise thingy like Zanmai does! =(
I noticed the membership card promotion they are having now which cost you RM99 !!! That's a fair price to pay only if u are a regular one.

Ish.. Missing the Smoke Salmon sushi now!
